William J. Mielke, CEO of Ruekert & Mielke Inc., has received the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by The American Council of Engineering Companies of Wisconsin.
The award, which Mielke accepted March 24 at The American Club in Kohler, is presented in recognition of a lifetime of dedication to ACEC WI and was developed to recognize a select group of individuals who over the course of many years have devoted countless hours on behalf of ACEC WI and the profession.
Mielke served as a founder of ACEC WI in 1986 and in numerous roles throughout the years, including ACEC National participation. He has been an active force in Waukesha County and the state of Wisconsin, contributing his knowledge, experience and wisdom to better the communities in which he lives and serves. His dedication to and expertise in the field of civil engineering have resulted in countless contributions to the engineering profession. Mielke has been an advocate for expanding information and education throughout the industry through papers, articles, and presentations. His well-known and sought-after expertise in the field of civil engineering has made him a trusted professional to both state and national government bodies.
