Local audiences can vote for the 2017 Footlights Performing Arts Awards through April 28 from among several local semifinalists.

Voting is open to artists, audiences and the public. The final three nominees in each category will be announced in early May, with winners announced at the awards ceremony June 22.

Voting can be completed at footlights.com/footlights-performing-arts-awards-voting.

The following local artists are nominated: from Waukesha Civic Theatre – Dustin J. Martin, best direction, “33 Variations;” Nicholas CallanHaubner, best supporting performance (male in a play), “33 Variations;” Scott Ziolecki, best supporting performance (male in a play), “To Kill A Mockingbird;” Ruth Arnell, best supporting performance (female in a play), “33 Variations;” Randall T. Anderson, best leading performance (male in a play), “Fawlty Towers;” Kelly Vance, best leading performance (male in a play), “To Kill a Mockingbird;” Beth Perry, best leading performance (female in a play), “33 Variations;” Kelli Cramer, best leading performance (female in a musical), “Gypsy;” from Outskirts Theatre Company – Sam Sherman, best supporting performance (male in a play), “Wonderland;” Alyssa Falvey, best supporting performance (female in a play), “Wonderland;” Madeline Conway, best leading performance (female in a play), “Wonderland.”

Local productions were also nominated for best performance, best play: “Wonderland” by Outskirts Theatre Company, “The Glass Menagerie” by Carroll University and “33 Variations” by Waukesha Civic Theatre.

Additionally, Wisconsin Philharmonic was nominated for best performance (ballet, concert and music) for its productions of “Back to Bach” and “Sensational Cinema.”
