The public is invited to join Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 28, as he plants a tree to celebrate Arbor Day at Moor Downs Golf Course, 438 Prospect Ave., Waukesha.

Friday’s tree planting is part of Moor Downs Golf Course’s 100 Tree Program. The new trees will separate golf holes, and be a barrier to adjacent properties and roads. Attendees can park at the Waukesha Employee Health & Wellness Center, 615 W. Moorland Blvd.

Then from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 29, the public is invited to help reforest four Waukesha County Parks: Retzer Nature Center, Fox River, Mukwonago and Nashotah. Attendees will assist in planting 1,000 trees and will receive a free seedling to take home (while supplies last).

Since seedlings are limited, attendees are encouraged to preregister for this event at waukeshacounty.maxgalaxy.net/BrowseActivities.aspx or call 262-548-7801.

Event will be held rain or shine; free park entrance for those participating.
