Jensen: What about Hillary’s Russia connections?

Wait.  Russian Ambassador Kislyak also met with members of Hillary Clinton’s campaign?

Democrats can’t be too happy with liberal CNN “GPS” host Fareed Zakaria, who really screwed up their “moral crusade” against the Trump campaign’s audacious win over Clinton  during an interview this week with Dmitry Peskov, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman.

Even though former President Barack Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, David Clapper, maintains there was no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, Democrats plead they’re taking the high ground by calling for a deep investigation.

Fair enough.  here should also be an equally enthusiastic investigation into the CIA, NDI, NSA and their British counterpart at the GCHQ into surveillance of the Trump campaign and illegally leaking spy data to the press.

But, should the Democrats also be calling for deep investigations into the Clinton campaign thanks to Fareed’s interview?

Peskov told Fareed that Kislyak, the Russian ambassador who met with Trump campaign officials, also met with “people working in think tanks advising Hillary or advising people working for Hillary.”

“Well, if you look at some people connected with Hillary Clinton during her campaign, you would probably see that he had lots of meetings of that kind. There are lots of specialists in politology, people working in think tanks advising Hillary or advising people working for Hillary.”

Perhaps the political presumption is that Clinton is exempt from any investigation because she lost and Trump won.  Only the victor is worthy of scrutiny.

Would you feel the same way if Clinton won?

The presumption is that the Russians are trying to interfere with elections and governments around the world to strengthen their influence and that presumption would be correct.

Every nation spies on other nations, trying their best to keep whatever advantage they can over adversaries and allies alike.

When one gets caught, all sorts of faux outrage fills the cable world, internet news and blogosphere. The liberal dysphoria is palpable.

Democrats who shouted at Trump to “accept the election outcome” now strut around in “Not My President” T-shirts and dress up like vaginas to express their intellectual superiority.

Liberals like Samuel L. Jackson are “outraged” that Dr. Ben Carson would dare to talk about slaves as involuntary immigrants.

I love Mr. Jackson’s acting.  His appearance in an action movie is for me a ticket buy.

Sadly, he was only outraged when Republican Ben Carson said it, not when President Obama said, “Certainly, it wasn’t easy for those of African heritage who had not come here voluntarily and yet in their own way were immigrants themselves. There was discrimination and hardship and poverty. But, like you, they no doubt found inspiration in all those who had come before them. And they were able to muster faith that, here in America, they might build a better life and give their children something more.”

It’s the same with the Russian-Trump investigation.

When your politics is tribal, only your own candidate can get away with behavior that would cause you to excoriate the opposition.

Clinton’s personal wealth from Russian millions is legendary.

Trump supporters are goons because they fought protesters who were paid by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary campaign to antagonize Trump supporters into fighting.

Liberals who accuse Republicans of violence smash windows, burn cars and start riots.

Now, the Russian spokesman has opened a new can of political “gotcha” by telling the world that “Kislyak the Terrible” was schmoozing around with the Hillary campaign as well as the Trump campaign.

Maybe investigation fangirl Democrat Claire McCaskill, who claimed she never met with the Russian ambassador after proudly tweeting about her meetings with the Russian ambassador can head up a non-investigation of Clinton while indignantly blubbering about a Trump investigation.

And so the wheel turns.
