Would you let Donald Trump date your daughter?

Watch the footage of Trump in an ad from Democratic senate candidate Conner Eldridge of Arkansas. Watch him insult, denigrate and objectify women with a smug sense of entitlement.

If you’re a woman, you know this guy. He’s the blind date from hell. He’s a loser. You’d go out the back door of the restaurant to get away from him.

Anybody’s daughter deserves better. Mother America deserves better.

Not a hard choice

Why do Republicans pretend this is such a tough choice?

Trump is the last man standing between Hillary Clinton and the White House, that's why.

ROBB:Don't fight Trump, just ignore him

So they agonize. They wring their hands. They talk about whether he might be made more presentable, presidential.

A man who would brag about his genitalia during a presidential debate is not presidential. Never can be.

Man up, guys

You have to wonder how much of Trump’s support comes from men who secretly agree with his view of women. From men who feel threatened by women as strong as Hillary. Backlash.

Get over it, guys. There’s more at stake here than male ego.

Watch the ad again – if you have the stomach for it.

EDITORIAL:Love America? Denounce Trump now

Those are Trump’s own words. It’s not some “media conspiracy,” which is how the Hillary-hating apologists for Trump like to dismiss his nastiness.

This should not be hard for Republicans. Trump is not a conservative. He’s a megalomaniac. He’s shallow and ignorant of the issues. As president, he would endanger and embarrass our country.

The honorable thing

There are a few honorable choices for Republicans now. Launch a third party bid. It will be a suicide mission, but at least it will show there’s some integrity on the right. Or simply get up on your hind legs and loudly denounce Trump.

All this mewling about wanting to support the candidate of the party is ridiculous. Face it, guys, your party was hijacked. Do you roll over or fight back?

This is the point of no return.

On one side is a man who shows a sophomoric delight in denigrating women, in judging them by their anatomy, in ranking them according to his sexual desire.

'Get outta my house'

On the other side is a woman who went to Beijing as First Lady in 1995 and told the world that “human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights.”

Republicans pretend this is a hard choice.

It’s not.

Just say what any self-respecting parent would say if Trump were salivating over their daughter: Get outta my house.

And stay away from Mother America, too.
