The Greater Metro, Woodland West and Midwest Classic feature some battles of teams that have yet to lose in conference, and plenty other big games will say a lot about the title chase this week. We'll also get our first batch of official playoff qualifiers. A look at what's ahead:

  • Brookfield Central at Marquette. The Greater Metro championship appears to hinge on this battle, with both teams 3-0. Central is coming off an impressive win over Brookfield East that appears to make the Lancers the league favorite. Follow Andrew Gruman for Twitter updates.
  • Arrowhead vs. Catholic Memorial. Catholic Memorial is the lone 3-0 team in Classic 8 Conference fare, but Arrowhead has snapped back from an early-season loss to win two straight with stifling defensive performances. This will have the level of a Classic 8 championship game. Follow Chuck Delsman for Twitter updates.
  • Pewaukee at New Berlin Eisenhower. The Woodland Conference West could come down to this battle of 3-0 teams, with Pewaukee coming off a sound win over Greendale. Ike has looked sparkling since an opening-week loss to Plymouth (that also included a dramatic 28-point comeback which ultimately fell short). Follow Tom Skibosh for updates.
  • Whitefish Bay at Germantown. The Blue Dukes are looking to keep themselves in the North Shore Conference title conversation alongside Homestead, while Germantown would all but sew up a playoff berth with a victory. Follow Steve Tietz for updates.
  • Greenfield at Whitnall. The annual crosstown clash could still play into the Woodland East title chase, even after Whitnall fell to Messmer/Shorewood last week. The Falcons have been hit hard by injuries this year. Follow John Rech for updates.
  • University School at Lake Country Lutheran. The two undefeated teams in the Midwest Classic Conference meet at Lake Country Lutheran. The Lightning may be favored, but they have a schedule full of landmines to close the league season. Follow JR Radcliffe for updates.
  • Waukesha West at Mukwonago. Both of these teams remain in the hunt for a Classic 8 Conference title, and yet both are in a position where every win remains precious for playoff qualification. If it’s Friday, that means the Classic 8 is offering a compelling game. Follow Evan Frank for updates.
  • Homestead at Port Washington. The Pirates are on track to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2008, so a win over Homestead would be purely gravy (and also throw a wrench into the North Shore title race). Homestead, however, is looking very, very good.
