The Raiders have played 44 of their 57 seasons in Oakland.

The soon-to-be Las Vegas Raiders will be staying in Oakland for at least two more seasons.

But team owner Mark Davis understands if fans don’t want to stick around while the team awaits its relocation, which won’t happen until at least 2019. The team will play at the Oakland Coliseum through the 2018 season.

Davis said Monday the team would offer a full refund for deposits fans have made on season tickets in Oakland.

“We’ll be happy to do that,” Davis said in a news conference following a 31-1 vote by his fellow owners to approve the move to Las Vegas.

Davis said he expected some sadness and anger from fans in Oakland now that the team has decided to leave. He asked that those fans direct their anger at him and not at the team’s coaches and players.
