Kids, kindergarten through 8th grade are invited to show off their artistic abilities during this year’s Apple Harvest Festival at the Retzer Nature Center, S14 W28167 Madison Street in Waukesha.
Drawings depicting apples or the apple harvest will be accepted at AppleTree Credit Union's Waukesha branch thru September 10th. The drawing can be 11x17 or smaller and use any medium - crayon, pencil, paint, chalk, charcoal, you name it! Judging will be based on creativity and originality. Each category winner receives a $50 Savings Bond from Apple Tree Credit Union. Categories are divided by school grade: K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 grades.
Entries must be dropped off at: AppleTree Credit Union, 2440 N. Grandview Boulevard in Waukesha thru September 10. Each category winner will receive a $50 Savings Bond from Apple Tree Credit Union, and the top finalists will be given free admission into Apple Harvest Festival, September 18. All entries must include a name, address, phone number, and/or email address with entry. The art work will be displayed at Retzer Nature Center’s Apple Harvest Festival held September 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an awards ceremony held at 1PM. There will be three winners, one per category.
As an added bonus, showing an AppleTree Credit Union membership card will allow free admission into Apple Harvest Festival. Free admission is as easy as becoming a member at AppleTree Credit Union.
