Swimming Pool Services Celebrates Decade of Special Olympics Support

Waukesha, Wis. – Swimming Pool Services, southeastern Wisconsin’s premier designer and builder of custom pools and spas, will celebrate a decade of supporting Special Olympics Wisconsin with its sponsorship of the Feb. 10 Polar Plunge at Muskego County Park.

Swimming Pool Services is an official Event Partner of the annual fund-raiser. For the tenth consecutive year, Swimming Pool Services will supply two spas to the event for “plungers” to warm up after a bone-chilling jump into the park’s swimming pond.

Swimming Pool Services will transport and set up the spas for the Polar Plunge, and disassemble and return them back to its Waukesha office. During the Polar Plunge, the Swimming Pool Services team will manage the spas for peak comfort and recuperation. All labor and materials are provided free.

“We’re very pleased to mark 10 years of sponsoring this event and supporting Special Olympics in its tremendous work,” said David Thompson, Chief Executive Officer of Swimming Pool Services. “Having had many employees participate in the Polar Plunge, we know firsthand how welcoming a hot spa is after a February outdoor swim.”

Special Olympics Wisconsin provides year-round sports training and competition to nearly 10,000 athletes in Wisconsin with intellectual disabilities. The Polar Plunge theme is “Freezin’ for a Reason.”

A spa is the perfect solution for even the coldest weather. Swimming Pool Services has brought the warm, soothing comfort of spas to hundreds of homes in southeastern Wisconsin. With more than 20 Caldera and Pinnacle models to choose from, customers can find the perfect spa to meet their space and needs. Swimming Pool Services also provides maintenance and repair service for home spas.

The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals honored the Waukesha company with numerous Gold awards, including an Outstanding Service Company award for five consecutive years.
