The early bird deadline to register for ProHealth Care’s Walks for Cancer, and take advantage of a lower entry fee, is March 22. After that date, the $20 registration fee increases to $25 per person. All registrants will receive a commemorative Walks for Cancer long-sleeve t-shirt.
The Walks for Cancer will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4th, with onsite registration beginning at 8 a.m. The annual walks include: RiverWalk for Breast Cancer in Waukesha, LakeWalk for Cancer in Oconomowoc and ParkWalk for Cancer in Mukwonago. Last year, the three events attracted 7,500 participants who helped raise more than $460,000
The walks support cancer research, education, and state-of-the-art technology at ProHealth Care’s Regional Cancer Center. The proceeds also make it possible to advance clinical research, support high risk/genetic services, increase awareness of early detection and provide supportive care to cancer patients. Each walk supports the programs and services in the community of the walk.
Individuals, team leaders and team members can register and donate online. For more information, visit www.prohealthcare.org/walksforcancer.
