Hamilton takes first at forensics tournament

Feb. 17, 2014

Hamilton High School’s forensics team earned first place in its division Feb. 8 at the West Bend East Forensics Tournament.

The team award was determined by evaluating the average rank performance of individual team members. The following students were category winners:
•Ila Avinash, first place in Moments in History;
•Alex Magoon, first place in Solo Humorous;
•Cassandra Zimdars, first place in Prose;
•Erin Magoon, second place in Four-Minute Informative;
•Danielle Kallis, third place in Special Occasion; and
•Allison Bitz, finalist in Original Oratory.

Focusing on developing students’ public speaking and communication skills, the high school forensics team helps students build confidence and community through extra-curricular competition.
