Waukesha Eagles Continue To Fly High:

The Waukesha Eagles #453 continue their ongoing support to and for their local community organizations. On Friday June 12th the Eagles were able to present to checks to the Cooperating Congregations of Waukesha County (CCWC). The first check from the Eagles men’s Aerie was for $500. The second check from the ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles was for $100.

The CCWC is supported by 121 congregations. They provide help with basic needs of low income and homeless people in order to give them an opportunity to become self sufficient. Incorporated in 1987, CCWC began offering a wide range of services such as financial aid, food, clothing and child care. CCWC is continually the number 1 referral source from the 211/First Call for Help line. In 2006 CCWC was recognized for their commitment and excellence with the Large Non-Profit of the Year Award presented by the Waukesha County Executive.

The Waukesha Eagles have been in Waukesha since 1903 and are a not for profit organization that has a motto of “people helping people”. They raise their money through many different events and functions. The Waukesha Eagles take pride in supporting their charities both locally and on a national level. They have really stepped up their efforts to play an active role in helping their community with recent donations nearing the $10,000 mark to such places as; Center for Learning Excellence (Head Start), Waukesha Food Pantry, Salvation Army, Hebron House, Faith in Deed, Local Waukesha #5 DAV and several other worthy groups and organizations. Nationally the Eagles have committed to donate 25 million dollars over 5 years to establish the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center in partnership with the University of Iowa Medical Center. The Eagles are all about people helping people through their members who volunteer their time and efforts. Visit the local Waukesha Eagles website at: www.eagles453.org to see what is happening. Stop by for a visit, you do not need to be a member to come in and have fun. Your support helps our efforts to help others!
