BIG READ Waukesha has just received its third grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). "A Farewell To Arms" by Ernest Hemingway, BIG READ Waukesha’s selected book, will be the centerpiece of over 30 activities throughout the community from Sept. 27 – Nov. 11, 2009.
A complete listing of events will be posted on the Waukesha Reads website: www.waukeshareads.org. Event calendars and materials will also be available at the Waukesha Public Library and partnering agencies. Most programs are free and all are open to the public. The BIG READ Waukesha group plans to distribute over 2000 books in both English and Spanish throughout the community as well as to our deployed military members serving overseas.
BIG READ Waukesha encourages participation by the community in both volunteering at events as well as attending programs. For more information about how you or your business can become a part of BIG READ Waukesha, contact Sue Moore at 650-2577 or email at smoore@waukesha.lib.wi.us.
