Delafield Company Introduces Natural Anti-Inflammation Health Product

Dec. 16, 2009 | 0 comments

Frankincense has been used for centuries in religious rituals as a beloved incense. Its distinctive, calming, and uplifting aroma is universally recognized. In addition, its medicinal properties have been ascribed to for centuries, especially in the area of wound healing. Recent research has discovered the mechanism by which this remarkable plant resin keeps inflammatory processes in the body at a healthy level. The True Botanica Company of Delafield, WI, has captured these anti-inflammation health properties of frankincense in a previously unattained manner and has introduced its new, natural Boswellia 90 that provides the most effective level of frankincense’s inflammation reduction ingredients.

Peer reviewed clinical and laboratory scientific studies indicate that extracts from the boswellia serrata (frankincense) tree improve breathing, intestinal and joint health. It works by inhibiting the production of the naturally occurring enzyme 5-Lipoxygenase (5LO).

The human body needs 5LO for a variety of functions. But when too much 5LO is produced, it creates inflammation in the body. Certain conditions are especially prone to this inflammation, including arthritis, colitis, allergic skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema, and asthma. Frankincense blocks the production of the excess 5LO, thus eliminating the source of the inflammation as well as any pain it can cause, the studies indicate.

“The major advance is that we now have a purified form of frankincense with up to 90% active ingredients in the product offered to the public. In nature that concentration is commonly just 1-3%. In this 90% form, known as AKBA, the simple gum resin of the frankincense tree powerfully suppresses 5LO, maintaining a healthy level of inflammation that does not lead to deteriorating health conditions. Look for the designation of 90% AKBA on the label to get the highest potency frankincense product providing the fullest benefits of this natural remedy,” says Ross Rentea, MD, one of the co-owners of True Botanica.

True Botanica is known as an innovative company developing nutraceutical supplements, herbals, functional foods, and natural cosmetics. Dr. Rentea’s partners include Andrea Rentea, MD, and Mark Kamsler, MD, FAAP, of Delafield. The three founded the firm after decades in clinical practice and a long-standing interest in researching and developing new pharmaceutical quality natural remedies.

The company is located at 418 Genesee St., Suite 500, Delafield, WI 53018. Boswellia 90 may be ordered online at www.truebotanica.com, or by calling 1-800-315-8783.
