Volunteer Opportunities in Waukesha County

Annual Clean-up Day: Old World Wisconsin needs many individual and group volunteers to help in general clean-up of the 567 acres on April 17th (rain date April 24th), before opening on May 1st. Registration is 8:30-9:00am and lunch is at 12:30pm. Please RSVP by Wednesday April 7th. Contact the United Way Volunteer Center for more information.

 

HOPE Center Clothing Stocker: Volunteers are needed to help keep the Clothing Shop ready for people to shop In Waukesha. Volunteers will inspect, straighten and stock donated clothing. The days and hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm beginning in April. One time help is much appreciated or a weekly, monthly and a regular schedule commitment.

 

Donate a Home Cooked Meal: Get together with family and friends and prepare a home cooked meal for the homeless in our county. Contact the United Way Volunteer center to get information about signing up and drop off at one of our three shelters.

 

Videographer: If you know your way around a digital video camera, have some video editing software or access to it, and can put together a DVD of clips for a novel marketing piece, then is opportunity is for you! Tasks involve recording 3 types of presentations, do a few on-camera interviews, and edit some exiting video. This is a great opportunity to expand your portfolio and gain experience.
