Waukesha County Fair Features Great Local Bands

The Waukesha County Fair, sponsored by Aurora Health Care, is pleased to announce the entertainment line-up scheduled to appear at the Leinie Lodge and Coors Light stages during the Waukesha County Fair Wednesday, July 21 through Sunday, July 25. Access to entertainment at the Leinie Lodge, Coors Light Stage and Miller Lite Main Stage* is included with your Fair admission.

Wednesday, July 21

6 – 7 pm Fairest of the Fair Finals

Presented by Waukesha Kiwanis & Waukesha County Farm Bureau

 

7:30 – 10 pm Waukesha County Fair Top Singer Contest

Sponsored by WITI-TV6

 

Thursday, July 22

3 – 4:30 pm Bob Kames Foundation High School Jazz All-Stars

The Bob Kames Foundation was established in 2005 by Bob Kames Jr. as a means to continue the passion of bringing out the music in everyone, especially high school music groups. He encourages parents to get children involved in music at an early age.

 

5 – 7:30 pm Crossfire

This band features musicians from all over southeastern Wisconsin and promises to give the Audience an exciting variety of music and styles. Song list includes originals, plus covers from Kenny Chesney, Billy Curington, Eagles, Tim McGraw and more.

 

8 – 11 pm Old Mill – Ryan McIntyre

Old Mill starts the party with the covers of timeless classics. They have high-energy and keep the party alive all night long. Waukesha’s very own Ryan McIntyre is described as having the voice of James Taylor singing melodies of Paul McCartney. He mixes his original songs in with popular favorites.

 

Friday, July 23

11 am – 3 pm Close Enuf

This group plays a variety of songs from the 60s through the 80s.

 

4 – 7 pm Something To Do

They are an ultra-catchy, high-energy, horn-driven ska/rock band that fans of all ages enjoy.

 

8 pm – Mid. The Toys

One of Milwaukee’s favorites, The Toys play a variety of 80s alternative dance music to keep the crowd on its feet and singing along.

 

Saturday, July 24

6:30– 11:00 am Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast

 

10 am – 12:30 pm Jimmy Whitaker (See Coors Light Stage, Friday)

1 – 3 pm Four on the Floor

The District Attorney for Waukesha, Brad Schimel’s band.

 

4 – 7 pm Southbound

Formed in 1986 at Marquette University, Southbound has been playing fairs and festivals all over Wisconsin. They cover songs from bands including The Allman Brothers,

Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, The Doors and more.

 

 

8 pm – Mid. Sweet Tarts

Playing a variety of techno, club, pop, alternative and rock from artists like Gwen Stefani, The Killers, Britney Spears, Prince and more, the Sweet Tarts keep the party going all night.

 

Sunday, July 25

Noon – 4 pm Kerry McConaway & The Element

Playing a mix of country and rock favorites from Jo Dee Messina to Pink Floyd as well as originals.

 

5 – 9 pm Fat Bottom Special

The two-time winners of Shepherd Express “BEST of Milwaukee” Best Rock Band Award covering all the giants of classic rock…including Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Aerosmith and more.

Wednesday, July 21

3 – 6 pm Saddlebrook

A powerhouse country band that plays unique versions of today's greatest country hits.

 

 

7 – 10 pm JoJo & The Go Monkeys

These four high school friends created a band that expresses their passion for playing music. Their song list reflects everything from classic rock to great dance songs including Billy Joel, Hootie & The Blowfish, Huey Lewis and John Mellencamp.

 

Thursday, July 22

11 am – 2 pm Tattooed

The band has been together since the fall of 2006 playing great rock music from Alice in Chains, Godsmack, Three Days Grace and more. They are sure to not disappoint with the amazing synchronized light shows with each song.

 

4 – 6 pm H2-OH

This contemporary, high energy folk/rock duo performs original music and covers from James Taylor, America and the Beatles.

 

6 – 7:30 pm & Choogy

9 – 11 pm Playing a variety of rock hits from Stone Temple Pilots, Rolling Stones and Nirvana.

 

Friday, July 23

11 am – 2 pm Jimmy Whitaker

This writer, producer, musician and vocalist has been performing for almost 40 years. Whitaker combines gospel and alternative country with a folk-blues style.

 

3 – 6 pm Caught Looking

Playing everyone’s favorites from the 80s to today including U2, The Foo Fighters, The Goo Goo Dolls, Maroon 5, Matchbox 20, Bon Jovi and John Mellencamp.

 

 

6 – 7:30 pm & Ted Oliver Dueling Pianos

9 pm – Mid. Ted has over 20 years of experience in dueling piano shows and will captivate any audience with his astonishing variety of music – rock and roll, blues, country, jazz, oldies, newbies,inbetweenies and comedy!

 

Saturday, July 24

11 am – 2 pm Hounds Tooth

With a set list rich in modern blues, original material, and blues-rock numbers, Hounds Tooth’s soul rockin' blues and high energy appeals to a wide range of audiences.

 

3 – 7:30 pm Sue DaBaco & Wise Fools

Lead by internationally recognized blues guitarist and singer/songwriter, Sue DaBaco, Wise Fools is an eclectic, intellectual, raw exploration of the blues/rock music. They create an unforgettable mix of old and new sounds with influences from Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

 

9 pm – Mid. First Kiss

Your first kiss is something you’ll always remember and First Kiss wants to make sure its shows are the same. Playing dance, Top 40, country, pop, funk, disco, rock, from 80s through today, including current hits on the radio, they make every show unique and worth wanting to see again.

 

Sunday, July 25

11 am – 3 pm Jim Whittaker (See Coors Light Stage, Friday)

 

4 – 6 pm & Shakedown

7:30 – 9 pm This act brings a youthful energy to every show, playing today’s hits along with songs from the 60s, including covers of The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Billy Idol, No Doubt and Jimmy Eat World.

 

 

The Waukesha County Fair Association is a non-profit volunteer organization that is completely separate and receives no funding from Waukesha County or the City of Waukesha. The 168th Waukesha County Fair, sponsored by Aurora Health Care, runs July 21 thru July 25 on the Waukesha Expo Grounds. Advance Adult Admission and Main Stage VIP Seating tickets* are available NOW online at WaukeshaCountyFair.com. Tickets at the gate will be: Adults $9, Children 6-12 $3, and children 5 and under, FREE. Parking is $5.

 

*VIP tickets are available for the Miller Lite Main Stage shows for an additional cost. A limited number of tickets are available for each concert until noon the day of the show or while supplies last and include a seat in a fenced off section directly in front of the stage. In addition to the VIP seating ticket, a general admission ticket must be purchased to enter the fairgrounds.
