VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES IN WAUKESHA COUNTY:

 

Paint City Hall: Excited after seeing a freshly painted room? Imagine the feeling you will get working with others in the community watching the halls of Waukesha's City Hall come to life as they are painted. Come join in the fun the weekends of September 10-12, 2010 and September 17-19, 2010. Prior painting experience preferred. Requirement: Minimum age 18 years or older.

 

Receptionist: United Way located on Paramount Drive in Waukesha is looking for an outgoing, professional to be one of the first points of contact at the agency. This volunteer position is full or part-time. Office hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm. We would be happy to discuss the details of the position and your availability.

 

Course Marshalls: The YMCA at Pabst Farms is looking for volunteers to help at the Dousman Duathlon to be held Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Cory Park, in Dousman, WI. We need Course Marshalls, people to help prepare and serve food, and perform other on-site event duties. Hours are approximately 7:30am-10:45am. Volunteers will receive a free T-shirt and have a lot of fun in the process! Requirements: Minimum age is 16 years and older. No experience or training is necessary.

 

Flash Mob Participant: Volunteer to participate in United Way in Waukesha County’s LIVE UNITED FLASH MOB on Wednesday, September 15th from 11:15am-12:15pm. Free Live United T-shirts to the first 500 to sign-up to wear when we strike a pose on Main Street in downtown Waukesha. Requirements: Must be 18 years or older; younger ages welcome when accompanied by an adult.
